After a week off, Round 4 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships got back to action at Mount Morris, Pennsylvania's High Point Raceway. After seeing some riders step up to compete for wins in each class, the points battles tighten up as the series is in full swing.
Timed qualifying put the fast laps just over the two minute mark. It'd be the 250 of Joey Savatgy with the best time of a 2:02.969, which topped Jason Anderson's 2:04.881 in the 450 field. The 250 class did have a bit of an advantage as the 450 class took to the track first and saw very muddy conditions.
Dylan Ferrandis is finding his place at the front of the 250 pack. He'd put his Star Yamaha on the podium with 3-3 finishes, only being topped by Jeremy Martin and Zach Osborne who'd swap 1-2 moto scores. Martin would get the overall after winning moto two.
The 450 class knew they'd see new names atop the result sheets this season with the absence of Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen. Most fans would mark Kawasaki's Eli Tomac as the shoo-in. Blake Baggett has openly stated his plans to be the top guy and has now backed that up with back to back overall wins. The Rock Mountain ATVMC rider would go 1-2 on the day and take over the points lead. Jason Anderson would go 5-3 for 2nd overall onboard his Rockstar Husqvarna. The consistency of 4-4 scores landed RCH Suzuki's Broc Tickle the final podium spot.
Ronnie Stewart has been putting in the work and training in Florida at Blake Baggett's El Chupacabra Ranch. The efforts are showing results as the number 606 would go 18-18 for 18th overall on the day.
