Coming Home...Zack Williams.

There is nothing like going home. Racing in front of friends and family, the people who watched you grow as an amateur and stood along the fences knowing one day they'd watch you on a Saturday in July along with 30,000 fans.

As the AMA Pro Motocross Nationals prepare for round 8 at Spring Creek in Millville, Minnesota  and a few riders return home to their District 23 track, it's the number 74 of Zack Williams who will be showing his speed as a top privateer.

Zack is from Elko, Minnesota and began racing at 5 years old.  He looks forward to having lots of friends and family watch him race as he attempts to add more points to his 6 earned already this season.

The now 21 year old is in his 3rd professional season and has put in solid rides to earn him his national number 74. In 2014 he was the Top Privateer at Washougal in the 250 class. This season he has scored points at both Thunder Valley and High Point.

Zack feels that with his fitness and starts, he has the strengths to put in a top 10 performance. He rides for the RSR team and although they have no factory support, it's the support from the team that drives him. "We still make the most with what we have!"

Training with Dylon Turner and having a solid program keeps Zack focused. His mechanic Sean Robertson is one of the hardest working guys out there and if you want to see what goes in to getting ready to race every week, find Sean on Facebook. Rick Schugel is the man behind it all at RSR and Zack is very grateful for his opportunities.

Zack is kind of the proof to why I started this whole blog project. He was a top amateur and said it was all fun, but there is so much more on the line as a professional. He is a double digit guy busting his ass to make a name in the sport he loves.

"I race because I get a feeling of joy from this sport that I can't find anywhere else." A follower of Jesus Christ and supported by family, Zack Williams is motocross. He has heart and grit.

Sponsored by: RSR, Starr Cycle, Rick Schugel, Pro Circuit, North American Trailer, Blaine Brothers, Wisconsin Kenworth, Badger Utility, Answer, Von Zipper, Shoei, Gaerne, Rekluse, Works Connection, Faster USA, Black Diamond MX, Thermo King, Dunlop, Twin Air, Loves Travel Stops, Motorex, Cycra, Mind FX and DVS.

This weekend cheer for the hometown kid. Number 74. This is a tough sport, every guy on the line is super fast. The guy in 40th will smoke your local A class. Be a supportive fan. Guys like Zack put their lives on the line for your enjoyment and are so appreciative of your support.

Good luck this Saturday Zack.
