Main Event Ready...Alex Ray.

Being so close to something that you work extremely hard for can be all the motivation it takes to get to the next level.

Tennessee privateer Alex Ray is one of those racers who has worked his ass off to go from making the night show, to now being so close to main events. The 21 year old is in his 5th professional season.

Like all privateers the struggles of travel, paying for parts, gas, entry fees and hotels were a huge struggle to Ray and getting to the next level. Luckily he has received help from the K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSI team and some of the stresses have been lifted. Simple things like having a mechanic.

With a career best of a 4th in an LCQ, although it came prior to a structure change that would have put Ray in the main event. This season he put in back to back LCQ 5th place finishes at the 2 Atlanta rounds. At Daytona Ray would qualify 20th and last week in Indy the 314 holeshot and led early in the LCQ, but a bike issue left him with a DNF.

Ask Alex Ray about making the main events and his reply, "they are coming." His determination and work ethic is something you have to believe in. His speed is there and he's just needing to eliminate some mistakes to put it all together.

Alex Ray, you got this. Fans keep an eye out for the 314 machine.

A huge thanks to Alex's sponsors: K1 Speed, BWR Engines, SSI Decals, Joe Byrd Training, Yoshimura, Mika Metals, Motoseat, Pirelli, Tubliss,Works Connection, Rekluse, Performance Electronics, JT Racing, No Toil, Privateer Racing League, Noleen J6 as well as a special thanks to his girlfriend, mom, dad and mechanic Swoop.
