Just getting started...Ben Lamay.

We hear a lot about testing or how far the bikes and riders progress throughout the season. So much work goes in during the week leading up to a Saturday night race under the lights. "We struggled with setup." I can't even think of how many times I've heard that line. Supercross is a sport of inches and many riders are picky down to millimeters of their controls.

Some riders just work with what they've got. The ability to adapt to what you have is something Ben Lamay is really using to his advantage this season.

Coming off of a 2014 he'd rather forget, where a testing crash just before A1 put him out for the entire season. Ben came in to 2015 looking to turn heads. His hard work and extreme dedication had him ready. Early struggles paid off at Anaheim 2 when Ben put in a 15th place finish.

Ben was thrown from his routine when he and his team split ties in the heart of the season. Left without a bike or a plan, Ben showed up to Arlington on a borrowed bike and missed the main by one spot. Pretty impressive for only 2 days on a bike.

After Texas, he took to Vitalmx.com to simply notify his fans that he'd be missing the remainder of the season due to his situation. That is when an unbelievable amount of support from fans poured in, giving Ben the determination he needed to get something going and be back out there doing what he loves for his fans.

Originally from Alaska, he now stays in Austin, Texas and as things fall together for Ben it's a Texas team where we will see him for the rest of the 2015 supercross and outdoor season. Look for the number 42 under the Munn Husqvarna rig.

"I'm just piecing everything together."  Ben admits that 2015 has been mentally tough, but thinks his skills on the bike have him ready to be a top 10 guy indoors and out.

Ben Lamay is not looking back and refuses to regret anything.

Good luck 42!
